HISTORICAL INSPIRATION
DONKEY'S MILK BATHS
Long associated with Cleopatra, donkey milk baths represent a widespread beauty ritual. Although ancient sources do not confirm their use by the queen, Roman authors popularized this image.
This ritual was later adopted by Poppaea Sabina, wife of Nero, who is said to have demanded daily baths to preserve her skin. Later still, Josephine de Beauharnais, fascinated by ancient traditions, is also believed to have incorporated these treatments into her routine.
Throughout the centuries, donkey milk has transcended its role as a cosmetic ingredient. It embodies a quest for timeless beauty, passed down by remarkable women known for their aura, power, and sense of ritual.
THE SCIENTIFIC BASIS
DAIRY INGREDIENTS
In cosmetic care, interest in organic and biomimetic ingredients continues to grow. Donkey milk stands out due to its similarity to human breast milk, which largely explains its beneficial effects.
A controversial trend has emerged on social media surrounding colostrum and breast milk. Despite ethical and health concerns, it highlights the richness of biomimetic peptides, essential fatty acids, and natural hydrating factors present in breast milk.
These components stimulate cell renewal, improve texture and hydration, and restore skin balance. The use of donkey milk thus embodies a gentle biotechnology, blending mythical traditions with modern dermatological advancements.
THE FUSION KOSMETIKOS AGORA
MOISTURIZING MILKY TONER
Its formula incorporates the components naturally present in milk and integrates them into a formula adapted to sensitive skin. An approach grounded in biology and inspired by tradition, to offer hydration, balance, and softness.
Milk peptides possess calming and softening properties, promoting skin balance and suppleness.
Essential fatty acids, such as oleic and linoleic, strengthen the hydrolipidic barrier and prevent dehydration.
Lactic acid, produced from the fermentation of lactose, gently hydrates and exfoliates, stimulating cell renewal.
These active ingredients work together to provide deep hydration, immediate soothing and progressive improvement of skin texture.
CLINICAL TEST: EVALUATION OF LONG-TERM HYDRATION
METHOD :
The product's moisturizing effectiveness was measured at three key moments:
1. Before application (reference value)
2. 30 minutes after application
3. 8 hours after application
The measurements were taken in a laboratory, under dermatological supervision, using a corneometer, a device recognized for assessing skin hydration levels. The test was performed on 10 adult volunteers, on clean skin, under controlled conditions.
RESULTS:
100% OF VOLUNTEERS had more hydrated skin after using the product.
SKIN +20% HYDRATED IN 30 min: visible hydration from the first half hour.
LONG-LASTING HYDRATION +14% AFTER 8 h: long-lasting effect, skin protected all day long.
DERMATOLOGIST'S VERDICT
