What does the Vital Elixir Serum do?

It is an anti-ageing serum with 15% urea, which provides a gentle chemical peel, plumps and hydrates. It also contains oligopeptide-1 (EGF), lysine and arginine, which stimulate cell renewal. In an instrumental clinical test, it reduced wrinkle depth by 13% in 8 weeks.

Should I use it during the day or at night?

Both, as it is not photosensitising. We recommend the evening, when the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of the skin) renews itself.

Is it normal for it to tingle?

Yes. Slight tingling is normal, due to the high urea concentration and fast absorption. If it bothers you, apply it after the toner or a moisturiser to slow down the penetration of the active ingredients. If the discomfort persists despite these changes, stop using it.

Can I combine it with retinol, acids or peels?

Yes, these ingredients are compatible. As the serum has an exfoliating action, you will boost their effect; if you notice sensitivity, alternate evenings. Use sun protection every day.

Does it contain blood?

No. It is 100% vegan. Its peptides are obtained through biotechnology: they reproduce molecules found in our skin without using blood or human or animal tissue. There is no biological risk whatsoever.

Why Erzsébet Báthory?

How long does a bottle last?
